Using Backlog

You may use Backlog for personal, lawful podcast listening on devices you own or control. Apps distributed through Apple are licensed, not sold, and your use is also subject to Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with Apple’s required terms, Apple’s terms control to the extent of that conflict.

Podcasts and external services

Podcast titles, descriptions, artwork, feeds, transcripts, chapters, and audio are supplied by their publishers or other external services. Backlog does not own that content and does not guarantee its accuracy, availability, legality, or continued access. Publishers may change or remove content and may apply their own terms.

You are responsible for having permission to use any private feed, imported audio, or other content you add. Do not use Backlog to access content unlawfully, interfere with a publisher’s service, evade access controls, or infringe another person’s rights.

Your library and backups

Backlog is designed to preserve library and listening state, but no software or storage service is failure-proof. Keep appropriate exports or encrypted backups of information you cannot afford to lose. You are responsible for safeguarding private-feed credentials and backup passwords. Backlog cannot restore a backup whose password is unavailable.

Beta software

Test versions may be incomplete, contain defects, change without notice, or lose compatibility with earlier test data. Do not rely on a beta as your only copy of important information. Feedback is welcome, but do not include secrets or content you do not have permission to share.

Purchases

If Backlog offers subscriptions or a Lifetime unlock, prices and included features are shown before purchase and payment is handled by Apple. Subscriptions renew until cancelled through your Apple account. “Lifetime” means access to the eligible on-device Backlog features for as long as Backlog is maintained; it is not a promise of perpetual app operation or unlimited future metered services. Apple’s purchase, refund, renewal, and Family Sharing rules also apply.

Availability and responsibility

Backlog may change, suspend, or discontinue features when reasonably necessary, including because Apple, publishers, or other external services change. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Backlog is provided “as is” and without guarantees of uninterrupted operation. Nothing in these terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be limited.
